Strategic Account/Business Development Manager - apply

With a 5 year strategy to expand and develop this partnership Entec are looking for an energetic, commercially aware and technically capable Strategic Account/Business Development Manager who will oversee all aspects of management for this prestigious and most important account.

Entec Vision:

The outsourced procurement, supply chain and inventory management of the MRO category for global FMCG goods organisations. Using Entec's leading edge Need2 systems and processes to deliver improved service, cost savings and value add to their Global manufacturing operations.

Working alongside our Board of Directors, the successful candidate will quickly establish themselves as the central contact for this strategic client. Managing all aspects of Entec's relationship with the client you will develop and grow profitably our business partnership. Operating from the clients HQ in London and Entec offices in the UK, USA and Africa you will travel widely as you establish and develop your contacts in all the key markets. Working in partnership with the client’s procurement professionals and operational teams, you will deliver and develop a strategy to support and add value to the client's global manufacturing operations.

Requirements within the role:
  • A solid understanding of the MRO category and the maintenance requirements of manufacturing operations in complex markets within the FMCG sector.
  • An ability to communicate clearly and confidently at all levels.
  • The ability to establish and maintain a network of contacts at all levels within the client (Stakeholder Management).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage the diverse issues you will encounter whilst implementing new aspects of the strategy.
  • An understanding of the challenges that exist when operating in partnership with large corporate organisations.
  • An ability to develop and anticipate the client's future MRO needs.
  • Management and delivery of detailed business reviews to the service users, cataloguing the benefits of the partnership.
  • Creation and development of a strategic plan to deliver ongoing service improvement and value add to the client.

The successful candidate must be pro-active so as to anticipate the client’s needs, with a gift for communication and negotiation. A solid technical training that ensures the necessary knowledge to carry out this job to the highest standard is needed as a base.

A degree in business studies or with an engineering or manufacturing bias having some sales or negotiation skills would be prerequisite for entry to this career role.

A background in Account Management is essential.
